Overview – Overview – The Tranquility Smartcore Disposable brief is a maximum capacity brief with tabs (as opposed to pulling up underwear) for urinary and/or bowel incontinence. It is designed to give the users a much better rest at night. Note it’s good to change a diaper at night once it is soiled or wet, as this protects the skin, but this product can absorb a large amount. It has breathable sides that help keep the brief cool and prevent moisture build-up. It is designed to maintain healthy skin. The increased airflow creates this environment. They are available in a range of sizes, the larger Smartcores can hold up to a quart of liquid. With the high capacity, the Smartcore brief should allow for six to eight hours of sleep if necessary. This is good for both the user and any caregiver. Always change a wet diaper as soon as you can.

Absorption – Tranquility and this product are tested using the C.U.P. method. This is Capacity Under Pressure. This means the product is tested under a pressurized flow, not the soaking method. This type of testing simulates how fluid is released from your body. The peach mat core wicks any fluid quickly, keeping you dry. There are dual leg cuffs for leakage protection. There is an inner and outer cuff, with the inner cuff directing any fluids back towards the core. Depending on the size required, these briefs will hold between 22 fluid ounces to 34 fluid ounces in the larger sizes. The wetness indicators have yellow lines that turn blue from the moisture. This high capacity brief requires fewer changes for less daily costs, though it’s always good to change as soon as possible to protect the skin.
Fit – Briefs with tabs allow for more adjustments to get the proper fit. The tabs are located at the leg and waist openings. The tabs can be repositioned to ensure a snug, secure wear. You want a snug fit, not tight but certainly not loose. Most leakage takes place in the leg openings. With a snug fit and dual cuffs, this product helps eliminate that. The key to leakage control is FIT. The product must fit you properly. With the tabs, you can adjust where needed for a proper fit thus eliminating the chance of leaking. The Tranquility Smartcore is available in a wide variety of sizes to fit most body types.
Odor Reduction – The Tranquility Smartcore brief has odor reduction through the use of the peach mat core. This core absorbs the fluids so quickly there is no chance of odor. By absorbing the fluids so quickly, neutralizes the pH, which is the odor in the urine. It also inhibits bacterial growth.
Additional Products and Alternatives– Many add booster pads to add to the capacity for just that little added protection and peace of mind. If you prefer the pullup style, there is the Tranquility Premium Overnight Pull-On Underwear.
