Pads and Liners are designed to be used for light to moderate coverage. This category is about pads and liners for medium protection. They can also be used as a booster to add to the absorbency of your incontinence product. Idiaper offers both the liners (boosters) and pads for this coverage. Please read the descriptions carefully to determine if you are choosing the correct product for your needs. Are you requiring some extra absorbency in your normal incontinence products, a liner or booster pad; or do you just want some extra protection, just in case, in your normal underwear.
The pads come in a variety of lengths and widths. These pads have a barrier layer on the outer layer to prevent any seepage or leakage into your normal underwear. They are designed to be worn with your normal underwear, with an adhesive strip to keep the pad in place. Some come with wetness indicators so you can tell when a change is needed. It can be difficult to tell with the super cores that these products have in the inner lining. These super cores wick any wetness away from the skin to help with your skin health and keep you feeling dry even though the pad is wet. The pads also come in some different shapes. They can be the traditional rectangular shape, contour shape, hour glass shape, or there is even a pad made for men with their shape and needs in mind. The Tena for Men is designed specifically for men with a cup shape that allows for a snug, secure fit. Some of the pads have leg gathers to help prevent leakage. They allow the pad to hug the body for better protection.
The Dignity® Stackables Barrier-Free Pad is an excellent example of the flow through pads or liners. They are designed to add extra absorbency to the incontinence product you are already using. They can be added for long-term day time wear or for the added protection at night. This product allows you to be able to stack them on top of one another giving you the ability to add additional protection. These pads will absorb as much as they can and then allow any additional fluid to flow through to your incontinence product. They are barrier free which is what allows for the flow through.
The use of pads or liners can be an additional protection against leakage while also being very discreet. Most of the pads are not noticeable while you are wearing them with your regular underwear. If you want just that added, extra protection and the knowledge that you have that, try adding a pad. It can avoid that embarrassing wet spot on your furniture, upholstery and clothing. Most of the pads also help with odor control so there is no tell-tale smell.
