A booster pad is a disposable or reusable insert that is put into an adult diaper to provide an extra boost of absorbency to avoid leakage. It needs to fit inside of the diaper to prevent leakage. There are both disposable and reusable booster pads. Disposable booster pads can be thrown away with the diaper, and reusable booster pads can be machine washed and dried to use again.
Here’s the types:
Disposable Booster Pad with Adhesive Backing - These booster pads have an adhesive strip on the back so that they can be placed securely into the adult diaper and they won’t slip around. If a booster pad has this capability, it will be indicated in the description. Some people have trouble with the pad slipping around and not staying where it needs to be absorbent, and these types of booster pads are the solution.
Disposable Booster Pad without Adhesive Backing - Booster pads like these simply fit into the diaper and don’t have adhesive.
Stackable Disposable Booster Pad - These pads, specifically the Dignity Stackables, can be placed one on top of the other if a lot of additional absorbency is needed.
Disposable Liners - These are like booster pads, but some of them hold even more than a booster pad would hold. They tend to be bigger and longer than booster pads
Reusable Booster Pad - These booster pads, like the Extra Absorbency Reusable Liners, are booster pads but they can be machine washed and dried so that they can be reused over and over again.
Many, many people come to our site with leakage problems, and the booster pads are one of the tools to take care of this. Before relying on booster pads, it is often preferable to switch to a good adult diaper, but if that diaper still leaks then the booster pads are a good tool to aid in keeping the person dry.
